L&D Operator Induction

Posted by L&D Earthmoving on 2 July 2013

Last week, L&D hosted 2 induction sessions dedicated to our operators. The nights focused on the induction of all operators to our updated policies and health and safety structures.

The team was also treated to displays from JCB Constructions, Case Constructions and Brown and Hurley.

We would like to thank all sponsors as well as the Hamilton Hotel for hosting our event.

Augers

Posted by L&D Earthmoving on 2 July 2013

Our excavators have a range of auger attachment sizes available on request. Augers are used to bore holes into the soil, usually in prep for posts.

Boris, one of our 6 tonne excavator operators shows the use of his augers for post holes and then uses his excavator to drop the concrete poles in.

Grab Vs Buckets

Posted by L&D Earthmoving on 28 June 2013

With large buckets, our excavators load truck loads of dirt or concrete. With the Grab attachment, they can precisely load smaller items.

Working with QLD Rail, Tim our excavator operator uses his grab attachment to load rail sleepers into an L&D truck.

Earthmovers In The Air

Posted by L&D Earthmoving on 12 June 2013

Sometimes our operators like to make a GRAND entrance onto our job sites.

Getting to the dig site isn't always simple access and often a crane is needed to assist.

Our mini combo operator, Curly recently needed some assistance on his job to work underneath a building.
